Thanks for the reply Darryl. I agree with you that re-installing Pro tools is a waste of time, I know levels in my sound edit sessions aren’t messed up, I’ve never had a dubbing mixer complain about them, so I trust them.

Because the quantum doesn’t support a surround setup I’ve decided to buy a sound volume controller, a friend has recommended the SM Pro Audio Mpatch 2 (5.1).

In the meantime I’ve set up a 5.1 auxiliary track for metering and using my Master Fader for volume control. Thanks again for your help.
