Unhappy DAE error 9060

I have changed my external hardrive to a big WD, pulled out my backup storage drive with the original tracks, set it to "T" and "alledgedly" when you pull a track up it should go to the transfer disc, find the files, render the tracks and then save this "new" copy to the "R" drive..right?
Well all that seems to work untill you go to play the tracks... and you get the 9060 message.
So I searched the DUC and found a lot of references to "fade" files that have to be "cleaned" or removed. Can anybody clarify this a little deeper for me??

Mac OSX 10.5, PT LE 8.0, 002, Octopre on lightpipe SPDIF 2 inputs, Toshiba static drive set to "T", Western Digital "My Studio, 8200 rpm, set to "R".

Default Re: DAE error 9060

Any luck with this? I remember reading a thread regarding this same problem a while back, but can't seem to find it now that I need it- yep, having the same problem!

I recall that the problem (in that previous example) was in the formatting/partitioning of the new drive, but I can't remember the details. If your drive is new, and presumably free of needed files, then that makes it easy... well, easier!

The fix was to reformat the drive with the desired settings- which I am still looking for in this forum!

If you've already solved your problem, please post your findings! I will keep searching, and if you're interested let me know and I'll follow up in this thread, too...

Regards,
Doug
