Default Audiosuite and Midi tracks

Hello.

Is it possible to use audiosuite with MIDI tracks aswell?

I am currently running out of processing powers with my plugins on my MIDI tracks, but everytime i higlight a MIDI track and press "preview" or "process" in an audiosuite plugin, i just get the messeage:

"No audio was selected"

Is there an alternativ way to permanently process plugins on MIDI tracks?

Audiosuite is used to process audio selections. You're better off printing your midi tracks to audio to free up processing power and then making the midi track inactive. You can always re-activate the midi track when you want and make any necessary changes and then re-print to audio (i.e bus the midi tracks output to the input of an audio track and record the result).

Alternatively, try midi real time properties from the 'Event' menu but this is limited to adjusting quantize, transpose, velocity and so on.

Sorry, I thought you meant Midi Instrument track. I don't use midi tracks. The Instrument track has an input and output selector where you could bus the output to an audio track.

You could create a new instrument track and copy your midi to it and do it that way.

Failing that I'm sure someone will come along and suggest something more convenient.

Some confusion going on here. Midi is not audio and does not get routed to an audio track. What is the sound that your midi info(track) is playing? If its driving an external synth, then route the audio of that synth to an audio track and record it. If you are using VI's(plugin virtual instruments), then you can streamline your work by using Instrument tracks(likely stereo) as this puts midi and the VI on the same track(very handy and keeps your session tidy). Once you have your midi recorded to the instrument track, and the VI is inserted(top slot) and plays, now you can set the output of the Instrument track to an open bus(mono or stereo according to your VI) and create a new AUDIO track with the input set for that same bus. Now put the AUDIO track in record and roll the playback(you will record the VI to a new audio track. As said, AudioSuite only processes audio. With an Instrument track, you can feel free to insert plugins after the VI plugin and "season" the instrument with RTAS(just as you would for audio tracks).
