Sound quality 11R Preamps PT11
Hi guys.
I've been wondering this for some time now, but now that I own a couple of "good" preamps I really hear the quality loss. 1. Eleven Rack (DI) sample rate 48/24 When I monitor just the "guitar input" the sound is very good but when it is recorded it sounds dull. Like I've lost mids and highs. 2. Universal Audio solo/610 - Eleven Rack line input. sample rate 48/24 Again monitoring = superb sound quality but the recorded material = BAD You can really hear the awesomeness when monitoring Same goes for Universal Audio 710 Twin Finety. I've tried 4 different USB cables in case that was the issue, I even bought a new quite expensive one but still the same. My Eleven rack is connected to my MacBook Pro Retina 15 Mac OS X Mavericks The recorded material is going to a Lacey Rugged FireWire 800. This drive is connected to my MacBook with original apple FireWire to thunderbolt adapter. If I change the sample rate to higher values the same quality loss is happening to the recorded material.
