Default tempo change?

can someone tell me how to change the tempo of a beat after youve already recorded it in protools?? i recorded a beat at 89 bpm but when i changed the tempo on the transport bar to 95 bpm i t didnt seem to speed up?

If you recorded it as audio, of course it won't change tempo. The tempo works for midi events, not audio events unless they are already beat-mapped like ACID, REX, or Apple Loops.

You could time stretch it using the Time Compression/Expansion plugin or option though. That works fine if it's just a little bit of stretching.
