Yep...you guys guessed it, I just didn't expect it this early. New Products from DigiWolrd LA........------>The DigiFireWire...yes, you read it--->DigiFireWire...aka...D.F.W. This time digi an't messin around. This mother is loaded. Here's the quick low down, you love this, 24 ins and outs...24!!!! all converts thanks to apogee, yeah, were talking 24 tracks with over 116 for dynamics...yikes...Plus, Plus, Plus...all are loaded with prestine class-A pres by GREAT RIVER...ayeeyieeeyiee. And you wont believe...well this one comes with a built in tdm card, and additional tdms can be linked via the new TDM-HOTWIRE, thats fire wire external cases, damn straight, ProTools LE went through some changes, the same software, tracks and etc, but TDM compatible. Plus the TDM-hotwires are compatible with protools mix. Yes, more more more, DFW is reatail...$1299, one two nine nine buckers. And even better, all registered mbox owners will recieve a letter saying, "were sorry!" <----straight from digidesign in the good old Bay Area of the Golden State. And if you are among the first 100 to order you will also receive one of 100 brand new 1954 Les Paul Goldtop guitars recently uncovered in a dusty corner of the Gibson factory........But seriously folks.....is there any possiblity of Mbox evolving into a Firewire version with multiple(more than 2) simultaneous inputs?

(I was at Digiworld, too and for a minute there I thought I had missed something.......)

I can't see why they can't compromise.

Turn the PCI card the Digi001 comes with into a firewire device, add a headphone output, 2 mic pres and 2 line inputs so it's got the same connections as the Mbox. Then if you plug the Digi001 into it, all the connections that are duplicated on the firewire interface would be mirrored by the ones on the Digi001 and you'd have the best of both worlds.
