Default getting rid of waves plugins

I might get bashed for this, but oh well, and also sorry if this is in true wrong thread. Sometime ago I got a a copy of waves plugins( they were torrented) I wanted to try the full versions of the gold bundle for which I wanted of a looong time. I was gonna get good with these and then save up for the bundle. I finally bought the bundle, but would like to get rid of the old stuff.

I have an issue where every time I bring up pro tools, it asked for waves 9.0. All I do is It loads waveshell-DAE 9.0 and a pop up box comes up with," select Waves 9.0 Plug - ins folder. I hit cancel and pro tools starts up fine.

I have not clue how to get rid of this though. Thanks for the help

Once I do I would like to start my download of my golds bundle.

Look in both /Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins and /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins for a WaveShell file and delete it.

Can't find it. I deleted waves 9.2 waveshell, but now pro tools is asking for both of them. Is there a way I can have pro tools not scan these plugins?

Usually the C word doesn't get much help here, but even though I might get flacked for saying this, I applaud you for actually supporting the developers and stopping using the non legal stuff. As a future reference, almost every companies have demos you can try for a certain amount of time before purchasing them, that's always better than the alternative.

That is very true. I liked the idea of having full functionality for as long as I need till I bought them.

I'm in this scene for the long haul, and I feel it's my duty to also support, and if I'm going to take this seriously, I damn better support it.
