Can't zoom in enough

I'm working on a live concert which is less then 2 hours long but yet I cannot zoom in to sample level in order to use the pencil tool. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if the seesion is too long, it wont let you zoom.

even if there is no audio after the 2 hour session, there may be automation.

display volume on all tracks and delete everything after the the show.
then do the same with your pan track and any other automation.

your session should shrink in length, and you should be able to zoom back in.

This happened to me .......... the culprit was some stray automation data at the end of the session that made it about 15,000 bars long. I have no idea how it got there, but once I removed it I could zoom out to the max again.
