Slow startup
Hi all.. We have found since updating to 6.9 that on workstations with mapped drives, opening a session seems to take forever, ie upwards of 1 minute.. It seems that there is a timeout happening, ie Protools is checking the mapped drives before opening the file from the external firewire drive. The mapped drives are all functional, ie no disconnects.. We need the mapped drives for another application we use to transfer the protools audio to our onair playback system. I have disabled simple file sharing.. Any suggestions?
Thanks Rob

Re: Slow startup - SOLVED!
Found that deleting one of the drive mappings solved the problem.. On checking the security for the share of that drive mapping, found it was read only for this user.. Changed it to read write and all is well.. I guess, protools needs write access to all drives??
Hope this is helpful to others.. Ciao
