PTHD10 (TDM)+Reason 4+CPU Overload

Hi Everyone,

is it reason-able to use the following gear in rewire ? :
16 x dr rex
4 x thor
6 x mixers
2 x mc EQ
3 x red drum
1 nnxt synth

+ 38 audio tracks

PTHD10 24/96 session + pe6r4 + 1 core+5 accel cards.
MP mid 2010 + 32 gig ram + 10.6.8

... i get constant cpu overload with pro tools asking me to increase the cpu usage limit when playin the 4 thors together.

I tried with the thors only but i get the same error message.
thx for any suggestions before i start transforming rewire into clips in pt
... not sure it would work if i try that same gear with 10.8.5

What cpu(s) do you have in that Mac? Depending on that I'm not surprised you're having issues. I've found Thor on even my system to be a bit demanding cpu wise.

its a 2,8 ghz quad core xeon

i gess its no way to use 4 thors with that mac, but that's okay i'll find another way

try 24 bit 44.1Khz (Just to see)

Both are running 32bit however buffers can change (in Reason and Pro Tools)

i know its working cuz i haved tried several combis long ago but as i could manage around 5 without unwanted noise, i thought thors would fit - even at 96k.
I gess i got used to that confort to have all in one session runing "live" till i tried these heavy pads in reason.
