Default PT8 pointer bug

Have any of you guys noticed that when you click on a drop down menu in PT8 that hovers either over a region, insert(edit view),etc that your pointer turns into your edit tool as if the menu is not even there.

Example:

Go to regions list, click and try to select "select" then "unused".If the drop down menu is over a region then you can't freakin use it because your mouse pointer changes to your specific tool to edit the region that is under the drop down menu.

Another:

Every damn time I try to click on my tracks name to duplicate the track my mouse goes thru the drop down menu onto the track inserts and opens whatever insert was under the "Duplicate" command.

Digi you gotta be kidding me that this [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep] got thru beta testing!!!If so you guys need to actually get real beta testers and freakin pay them!

Digi please chime in on this.

Yes I see this on XP Pro LE as a GUI issue but it's functionality is fine, no?

Weird problem, but I couldn't reproduce this on PT 8 (no cs update) LE on XP.

Could anyone reproduce this on a different machine?

Best of luck to you sorting this one out.

***EDIT***
I take back everything I said. For some reason I can repro it now, but not earlier. This is pretty strange and this isn't the only weird thing I've seen with the menus. Digi needs to take a look at this.

Oh this whole release is just so insane with bugs it's mind blowing.I've been with PT since 6 and all the upgrades from 6 on never, ever came close to all the issues that 8 brings to the table.

What really sucks is I love the new GUI,I love the theory of all the new features(when they work)and I want for the life of me to be able to use it in my studio.DB-33 can't even be found 50% of the time I open a session...................I need to re-boot then it's there. My main concern over everything is the non-stop out of CPU errors when I try to record. It made me look like an ass in front of 2 seperate clients recently and lost me money.I load 7.4 and everything works like it should.I still can not record in 8.

This was one that was logged awhile ago for a fix, but I'm not sure when it may be implemented.

It's really strange.............sometimes it does it and other times it works fine.

Another bug I just found was I am losing my mouse scrolling in both the edit/mix windows in the middle of sessions.A PT re-boot cures the problem. There are so,so,so many small bugs in 8 and it might take a bit to find them but you will.
