Default Powerbook & 002R track count

What kind of track counts have you guys gotten with a powerbook/002r combination? My new powerbook 1ghz is on the way and I am wondering if I should upgrade my 001. I have access to a mix+ system for mixing, but I need to know if the powerbook is capable of recording 10 tracks simultaneously and playing back 32 (w/minimal plugin usage)

Thanks!

i guess your 1GHz powerbook will be fine.

simultaneous 16 inputs + 6 outputs + spdif i/o is a piece of cake for my 1.25G/002R, but i only put in some 20 plugs. i do live sessions (FOH mixdown & monitor sends while recording) most of the time, so i need to spare some resources for unexpected situations.

I also have a new powerbook on the way,i got the 1.25Ghz.As soon as i get some numbers on what it can do i'll post.
It's tough to get concrete answers on this, being that testing track count has SO many variables.I'll be running a 002r with it.

Does anyone know of a better price than 1,199.00 for the 002r,I'm looking to purchase next week.Any links would be greatly appreciated.

Check out these guys for a price on the 002R-- I believe Jon is the guy you'll want to talk to-- www.altomusic.com. Great prices and service-- many people on the DUC, including myself, have purchased from them.
