Audio-Technica ATND971a to trigger DADMan
I have a MTRX Studio and bought a ATND971a as a client talkback mic.
Is there a way to get the button on the mic to trigger the dim feature in DADMan? |

Re: Audio-Technica ATND971a to trigger DADMan
The switch sends no separate "signal" so the best you could do is feed the dante output of the ATND971a additionally to an output on the MTRX studio and use that analogue signal with a gate to trigger the footswitch on the back of the MTRX studio. That footswitch trigger can be assigned to talkback.
The easier thing to do is keep the mic always open (don't use the switch on it) and use a footswitch or push switch to trigger the footswitch connection (back of MTRX) assigned to the talkback. It's easier to work with too since the ATND971a switch is poorly sized. That way the footswitch does what is intended = opens talkback mic, dims monitors.

Re: Audio-Technica ATND971a to trigger DADMan
The way I have it set up now is I have the button active so they can turn it on or off and then when they activate it and I need dimming I open my talkback as well. I'll research your suggestion.
