Default Liquid Mix Trouble

I really love thisa thing but I'm finding that I have to turn the compressor "on" everytime I reopen a project in order to get compression going on every track I use it on. The eq seems to work each time and the settings for compressotr stay there but no compressed sound until I turn the compressor off and then on again. Any thoughts?
