Default What is this indicator?

I've been googling for 15 minutes and nowhere on the entire internet can I find what this little indicator is... I'm sure someone here knows,
thank you,
(and i hope the attachment shows up. it's the red square in the upper right hand corner of plug in windows)

It makes it possible to have more than one plug-in window open at the same time.

plug-ins window provides a Target button. Untargeted
plug-in windows remain open, while the targeted
plug-in window can switch between different
AudioSuite plug-ins and receive keyboard
input.
To target or untarget AudioSuite plug-in windows:
 Click the Target button in the AudioSuite plugin
window so that it is lit (targeted) or unlit (untargeted
or live on the wild side, click it then open another plug-in window (ideal of a different plug-in type like AIR's multi-tap delay " on another track and see what happens
