Default Recording Reason MIDI into PT 7.1.1...

The problem I'm having doesn't actually happen in getting audio from Reason into PT. That's all well and fine. I have a stereo instrument track with Reason assigned via plug-in (rewire obviously). And I can monitor my sounds and everything great. I even record them onto the instrument track and can slide around my MIDI notes but CANNOT playback. When I try and playback I get nothing from the instrument track. I've tried input-only and auto-input monitoring but either way nothing. The MIDI noes are actually black as opposed to the usual blue; almost as if the track is disarmed or off completely. Anyone with input on this? I would much appreciate it. Thanks!
