So... great.

On 17th of June, I had E-mail contact with Avid support (they opened a case).
1) Jog + Shuttle are a total workflow brake, this should be fixed in Eucon.
2) Switching softkeys on MC Transport results in clicks
3) Assignable knob results in crashing of EuCon, crashing of Pro Tools and freezing of surfaces.

On 24th of June, Support got back with a mail:
1) Jog + Shuttle functionality are good as is.
2) No reply to my question about my ASCs: Why can't I use them on the website?
3) They can't reproduce the clicks when switching softkeys on MC Transport.
4) Yes, they can reproduce the Assignable knob feature freezing the surfaces, crashing Eucon and PT.

I wrote back on 26th:
1) Jog + Shuttle on the Artist Transport IS a total workflow brake. Please get the message.
2) Clicks (softbuttons on Transport) are persistent.
3) Assignable knob also crashing with Eucon 3.
4) What about my ASCs??? I have them but I don't get a single reply as to why I can't use them.
5) When will I get the PT11 download I'm elligible for?

Now it's 2nd of July. No answer yet.
Thanks a ton for the great support, Avid.

Now I am beginning to understand the guys who have spent really big money on Avid products and feel totally let down.

Okay some stuff has been solved, some not, like some soft buttons forgetting their state or the fact that the Eucon Software is just plain terrible. Support says they'll "keep an eye on it". Whatever, back to work with the stuff as good as it gets. Thanks for the earlier replies.

Otari, I think you're being kind of hard-headed about the jog/shuttle thing.

Since these knobs do multiple things, it makes perfect sense to have the buttons select what those things are. You can assign the knob to perform jog functions, move the cycle position around, act as arrow keys, and the 'assignable knob' feature just to name a few.

And not only that, it can be turned off to do nothing in order to prevent accidental movement, like if you want to rest your palm on it to push the ring buttons.

In light of this, hard-coding it to only 'jog' is dumb. Why is this so hard to understand? So you have to push a 'jog' button once and can leave it on that way through your whole session. That's a workflow stopper, really?
