Default tc master x3 plug in for Profile

We are looking at using a TC master x3 plug in on a Profile to duplicate an existing hardware setup for fly in dates.
Any pitfalls we should be aware of regarding the installer?

You need to have installer that matches your ilok license. There is Massive Pack version of the plugin installer and regular one. And you need to install from the desktop, there is no dedicated Venue installers for X3. Btw what kind of hardware setup are you trying to mimic? I think X3 is fantastic for rock drums, but it can be quite harsh on many other signals. ML4000 is much smoother as an multiband plus also has an brickwall limiter.

Thanks for the tips!
We have a rack of hardware Finalizer 96K units that are used as mix buss inserts for iem mixes.
Just want to make things closer to this for fly in dates where we use an Avid console. ( our touring console is not an Avid desk).

Depending how hard you hit your finalizers you might be better off with ML4000's or MC2000's if multi band with no limiting is what you need.

MC2000 has very low latency. Waves C6 is also nice as a multiband comp, but has bigger latency (60 samples vs 3 samples of MC2K). ML4000 is also 60 samples, but 4K has limiter too.

MasterX3 is kind-of Finalizer, but then again it's not. You don't have de-esser or digital radiance generator. You don't have separate control over essential per-band parameters like attack, ratio, release. If you go with MasterX, don't forget to turn off the look-ahead as you might want to minimize the latency.

Thanks for all the info. I'll look at the MC2000 as well.
Yes the look ahead delay must definitely be set to 0 in the hardware version as well for iem mixing.
