Video On my HD 2 accel

what up with my video? It keeps shutting off while I'm playing it back. It worked for about 3 weeks. Now it doesn't? I'm on a HD2 accel with a G5 and a gig of ram. I tried playing off the external hard drive and mac hard drive......it keeps happening. Can anyone help?
