Show Big Counter-Funny issue.
Well it was funny when I pressed Command+3 again and again (also from the menue) and saw no big counter. I knew it was maybe hiding somewhere outside the visible part of my screens.
However I felt some irritation next to a client. It was about the screening of the final mix...and "please write your marks next to a time code".... There is no timecode....what's surprise! I solved the problem by disconecting a second screen and restarting the computer. Mix and edit window gathered together and also brought the big counter. After restarting computer with second display everything went well. What did not help: deleting preferences and data bases, trying detecting desplay from the preferences panel and either restarting computer with two screens connected. Just wanted to share this issue with folks. May be it will help someone someday... Digi don't ask me how to re-produce this cause I don't know why and how this happened. Sorry.

Re: Show Big Counter-Funny issue.
I've had the same issue. It happens when I take a session from one room with a certain video monitor setup and a certain resolution to one with a lower resolution or smaller screen.
I fix it by going to the system prefs for displays and change the resolution so it is very high. This will make the image on the screen get smaller. Usually the counter appears on the edge somewhere. Then I move it into a more central location and change my resolution back. Hope this makes sense. Zac |

Re: Show Big Counter-Funny issue.
Yeah I know about this trick. And I tried to change the resolution even to the maximum - no success.
No I did not move this very project from one room to another. Mistery

Re: Show Big Counter-Funny issue.
Another potential fix for this type of thing (and missing video windows, panners, send faders, plugins, you name it) is to select "hide all floating windows" from the Window menu, and then un-select it. This usually seems to snap PT out of it's stupor, and always brings back my stray windows from whatever alternate universe they've disappeared to.
