Default High end PT users-- workflow plugins & outboard gear

I am sure that many of you who have high end PT setups also have analog out board gear and an analog console or mixing bus. For you guys that have both, the outboard gear and the plugins, how is your work flow. Do you use plugins for the most part because it is easy? How is your approach different in using a plugin vs analog gear different? Please, please, please do not infer that I am trying to start another debate on which is better. For the sake of discussion lets say that both plugins and outboard gear are at your disposal during tracking and mixing.
