Perhaps you should learn from his example.

Chris, which version of vcc do you have (do a get info if you can). they weren't real good at updating the user base on their bugfix builds. I stumbled across one that made it pretty solid on my end. Maybe you have one of the before last builds?

I know its maddening. I'm still trying to get EA 8 to play my 7.4 sessions without kernel panicking my machine. i really hope stability and backwards compatibility are on the to do list for avid.

I guarantee when they fix the bugs it will work just fine with everyone's system. even mine with Duende and magma and 400 other plugs.

The fact the demo is no longer available says it all!!!!

The reason i keep trying it is i would like it to work as i really like the concept and want to give it a good trial on a mix session. I just think too many products are put out there without proper beta testing. Its easy, you find a dozen users on different DAWS and setups and you get them to test to like crazy and find all the major bugs and as a reward they get the product

And, yes... I have both HEAT and VCC. Not real fond of either, but prefer HEAT for its integration into PT and its subtlety.

Tried VCC, wasn't knocked out, am demoing HEAT, like it a lot, also demoing
Phoenix, which I really like. Using HEAT and PHOENIX on some mixes is pretty impressive. JMHO.

Hi,

I believe the second beta release! the first wouldn't work period! i downloaded the second beta 2-3 days later, the second works for a while then the GUI freezes on the screen. pt still running, but can't do much and have to force quit.

Not at studio so can't confirm exact version.

Since then the beta has not been available due to maintenance.

Steven himself has said that they'd always intended to pull the public beta at a particular time so that they could concentrate "exclusively" on the final release, and that's the stage they're at now. They're absolute perfectionists, and they're following their course as planned. The rare crashes, which all betas experience, are being ironed out.
