Default Different size midi notes

In instrument tracks, the midi notes are big, but in midi tracks they're kind of normal.

Is there a way to make them all the same size? I never noticed this on earlier versions to 7.3, but maybe it was there. I've tried the button at the top of the screen to adjust midi note size, but it affects all of them, not just instrument tracks.
