General Question Regarding LE Authorization Codes

Hello All,

I searched past posts but have not yet found an answer to a general question regarding Authorization Codes for Pro Tools LE software.

Are the Authorization Codes tied to a particular copy (physical disk or download) of the software

OR

tied to a particular account holder???


I have two copies of ProTools LE 8. One from an upgrade path on my old original Mbox and one that came with a new Mbox 2. Therefore, I have two physical DVDs containing ProTools LE 8.0.

Do I need to mark each DVD so I know which one was an upgrade from previous versions for the original Mbox and which one came with the new Mbox 2??

Or can I use either copy and use the correct Authorization Code???

Are the Authorization Codes tied to the individual hardware in any way?

If there is a posting or Knowledge Base that covers this please point the way... possibly I need to use better search terms.

account holder, we make one image and deploy it to out 100 odd stations

I have two copies of PT8.

I can use whichever serial to install. IT doesn't matter what serial you use as long as it is a PT 8 serial.

However, PT9 is a different scenario.
