Pro Tools 8 LE - Macbook Pro i5 issues
Hi guys,
First time user. I bought my MBox 2 mini half a year ago, with Pro Tools 8. Since then I've been trying to get it working properly with my Macbook Pro (which i bought new last May). Most of the time it just freezes on startup, at different places (sometimes at 'loading machine' stage, sometimes at the 'loading transport' or at other seemingly random bits). I've tried a bunch of things, like updating everything on both sides, changing cables, and i even got it replaced once from the dealer. But to no avail, the system still freezes around 90% of the time (usually it requires a hard restart of the computer and/or unplugging the MBox). Will it ever work properly? Or is the annoying inherent fault MB Pro i5 seem to have a fact? What can i do? Can Avid help? thanks for helping me out!! |
