EA...Forgot How To Do This..?

In one of the old Elastic Audio tutorial videos, they should how you could use Vari Speed to slow down a loop, then somehow record that sound (the slowed down sound) then put the transport back up to normal speed so the "slowed loop" would now back at regular tempo, but with the "slowed" sound...anyone know what I mean and how to do this? Brain is working tonight....thanks
