Default Best way to find out Plugin Latency

theres got to be a better way to find out plug in latency besides bouncing and manually counting sample offsets, or phase scopes...

whats the trick?

in the Mix wondow,right click on the value under the fader and you can choose between volume, peak and delay. The Delay will show you the delay value.

I always get Access Violation error when I do this and have to reset the PC

Would you know if m-powered has this feature? it's ver 6.8... my LE is 6.9 but i'm not in front of that system at the moment.. i use LE and m-powered and cant currently do this.. your talking about the area with the green LED vol indicator right.. right click on this..

green led showing the position of the fader directly and symetrically under the fader.

vieris, m-powered does have this feature, just like Pro Tools. ctrl+click on the indicator switches views.

ok all my tracks say 0... so it that saying the inserts have no delay? or is this a place i can make an offset?

No, that's saying that none of your plugins are reporting any latency; not necessarily that that aren't producing latency.

To correct for any latency produced, you would nudge the tracks back by the amount of latency produced (usually in samples). Instructions on nudging tracks can be found in the reference guide.
