PT versions compatibility

Hi,
Can someone please make clear what versions of protools are compatible?eg can u open a 5.2 session using 5.1.1?

I´ve been able to open old versions on a new PT one. That´s logical, of course. Once I received a PT session (I never new which version was) on a TDM 5.0.1 and I couldn´t open it. I assumed it was 5.1, but the client couldn´t tell me. The PT Open dialog couldn´t see it, although there was an PT icon on the Mac. I had to use the original time stamp option to go on with the recording session.

Later versions of Pro Tools are always downward compatible with earlier session formats. For instance, Pro Tools 5.1 can open PT 3.2, PT 4 and PT 5 session formats.

PT sessions created in 5.1, 5.1.1, 5.1.3 or 5.2 all use the same session format and are all compatible with one another.

-There are problems opening sessions created on PT LE 5.2 (MBox) with a Mix system...PT LE 5.2.1 resolves this incompatibility:
