Default expansion chassis for a Macbook Pro


Looking to get an expansion chassis to run HD on a Macbook Pro .... Any experience or suggestions??

As far as I know, it's only been used for extra video monitors, but it implies that any card will work. MIght be worth a shot.

Heya,

I hear the PCI chassis work and work relatively well, although they are not 'officially qualified'.

Best solution probably is this fella here.

Nice thing: you can put in an HD3 system, a SCSI card and up to 4 drives, totally taking load off the CPU. The even nicer thing: get a CardBus 34 card for the MBP and a PCIe or PCI host card for your desktop, and you have a fully integrated mobile solution that you can even use on the road with the MBP and at home with a fully fledged 8-core Mac Pro that will run all the RTAS stuff you need for mixing .

Know the model identifier of the MacBook Pro, and send a support Magma. They say their YES or NO.
