PT freezing EVERYTIME on startup of new sessions

Hey guys, we just upgraded our OS X to 10.3.4 and we are getting kernel panics and freezing as SOON as we start a new session. We aren't even able to work, it just freezes and the rainbow circle keeps spinning. If someone could PLEASE help us out, we'd appreciate it, thank you!

Create a new user account, login as that new user, and see if the problem persists. If it does, then I'd do the following.

Run your installer again and choose to uninstall Pro Tools. I forget the wording of the choices, but one of them will remove EVERYTHING Digidesign from your system - choose that option.

Then run Disk Utility and repair permissions. Boot off of your Panther install CD, run Disk Utility, and verify the disk.

Go to ~/Library/Preferences and make sure no Digidesign prefs are lingering.

Reinstall PT and let us know how it goes.

STILL FREEZING. Did all the "clean-up" that has been suggested...new user names, uninstall/re-install, etc. Seems to freeze up after doing a bit of midi sequencing. Could it be my emagic unitor 8 midi I/O? PLEASE HELP. Digi?

I THINK it might have to do with my soft synths (Indigo & trilogy)...it seems to be the trend that I freeze when using these. I have a Mac Blue G4 466 single processor.
