Can I upgrade from 6.9.2 to 7.4 (tiger to leopard?)

I have a G5 imac running Tiger that was running PT 6.9.2 with the Mbox.

I recently bought a new Macbook Pro w/Leopard, and I want to use the Mbox from the old system with it. Am I eligible buy the upgrade version of PT 7.4.2? ($150 from the Digistore)

If I install it, how will it know I am upgrading since my old version is on my other computer, and can't be installed on my new one?

7.4.2 is a complete installer, it will not care about your 6.9.2
you will get an updated serial number to activate 7.4.2

I might be in the same boat...

I am running 7.1 (but have the 7.4 install disc for 10.4) on a PowerMac G5. I have the MPToolkit, and I am thinking about getting a new Mac Pro. I am assuming that I will have to buy the 7.4.2 disc? And what about the MPToolkit? Is there just updates on the digi site for that?

If you already own Pro Tools LE 7.4, you can download the 7.4.2 installer and the MPTK v7.4.2 from here:

And as an aside. If you purchase the 7.4 update (which will include 7.4.2 required for leopard) you'll get PT 8 when it comes out.
