Hello everyone,
New here and I was wondering if I may get some advice. Gear: Microphone: TLM 103 Interface: Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 (3rd gen) Pre-Amp: Focusrite ISA One Headphones: DT beyerdynamic DT 900 PRO 250ohm Acoustic Treatment Portable Vocal Shield DAW: Pro Tools 12 OPS: Windows 11 I only record vocals and its usually to (Leased WAV) 2 track hip hop beats. I have the preamp and interface wired correctly and I can record into pro tools with no issues. I'm trying to get professional sounding vocals. I have been messing around with "gain staging", I have watched countless you tube videos and was wondering if there is any extra advice out there for me. As in Should I be driving the Input or Trim knob more on the ISA One? My TLM 103 has a level of 50 ohms so should my impedance on the ISA One be low (600 ohms) or the ISA 110 (1400 ohms) or even higher? Should I be recording my sessions in 44.1hz, 48hz or ect? Sorry if its confusing and thank you in advanced |
