iZotope RX4 Denoiser behavior different in PT10 vs 11/12
I wasn't able to find anything related to this in my search. Has anyone else noticed a difference with the way RX4 Advanced Denoiser behaves in PT10 vs PT11 or 12.
Specifically the way the Reduction sliders react to a noise profile. I use a default setting that keeps that slider split into separate Noisy and Tonal sliders. I took the exact same piece of audio and taught it to RX4 in both PT10HD & PT12HD. Two things stand out. One is the difference is the learned Noise Profile between the two, even though it is exactly the same piece of audio. The second is how just changing the Tonal Slider makes the denoiser behave differently (The difference between the red and yellow lines). All other settings are the same. I noticed this since the first time I tried PT11 and it hasn't changes through any updates and continues in PT12 the same way. Yes I'm at the oat current version of iZotope. This has been something I've noticed for a few years, across several different systems, but never got around to asking anyone. Up until now I've been able to continue working in PT10 and thus avoid the problem.

Re: iZotope RX4 Denoiser behavior different in PT10 vs 11/12
It could be due to the way they handle clip gain

Are the Advanced Settings all set the same between versions?

It is the same even on clips with no clip gain applied to them.

Re: iZotope RX4 Denoiser behavior different in PT10 vs 11/12
Just for verification I tried the same experiment on a different computer, running a different OS (10.8.5 instead of 10.9.2). Even when using the Factory Default setting I get the same results.
But yes otherwise the Default settings I have in the Advanced Tab are the same.

Re: iZotope RX4 Denoiser behavior different in PT10 vs 11/12
I think the difference is that in 64bit (PT11 onwards), all native plugins are more responsive and efficient. By a factor of around 2.5 times.

Re: iZotope RX4 Denoiser behavior different in PT10 vs 11/12
I've certainly gained far higher system headroom since going to PT11HD. Sessions that read 70% on PT10 read 23% on PT11HD. If you combine that with at least 8GB of RAM, a decent GPU and SSD system and media drives, it utterly rocks.

Re: iZotope RX4 Denoiser behavior different in PT10 vs 11/12
Plus we're talking iZotope maintaining two different formats. There may be other small changes under the RX hood that prevent absolute parity between the standalone, RTAS, VST, and AAX versions.

Are any of you guys getting the same behavior with Denoiser AAX Audiosuite if you do something in PT10 & again in PT 11/12?
