Default Asio and Wave Driver

I'm even embarassed to ask..... Does the Asio take the place of the wave driver???? What's the difference?? [img]images/icons/confused.gif[/img]

Yes, it does take the place of your WaveDriver. I have read that midi becomes disabled also. I have also read that WaveLAB does not recognize the ASIO drive (not sure on this last one though).

There is a thread somewhere 'round here talking about ASIO and it's Pros/Cons, and it seems it may even be BETA still yet.

Thank Sabe! So it would work the same way, ie. push in the monitor button to play other things?

no, no. the asio drivers will allow you to use your 001/002/Mbox with more programs. With the drivers, you should be able to see all of your ins and outs in other programs such as nuendo. as opposed to only having access to ins 1 and 2.
