Line 6 Amp Farm HD

I've been using HD3 7.4 recently and using the Amp Farm plug in that came with it. Just transferred the session to a new studio running HD3 8.1 and there was no amp farm. There is a license of the iLok that it called Line 6 Amp Farm HD but no plug in. I downloaded Line 6 Amp Farm 3 from the Avid site but that's asking for authorisation. Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm waiting for my support account to be activated (even though I've had a digi account for some 7 years, apparently that's not the same... wtf)

Amp farm 2 and 3 have separate ilok auths! could that be your problem?

So perhaps the iLok auth Line 6 Amp Farm HD is referring to Amp Farm 2? I'll download that and give it a go.

Nah, no luck. PT just ignores it as it's too old. In another twist, the system that is on 7.4 has a license in it's iLok call Amp Farm 3 so I guess that will be ok. Bit confused as to why the newer system doesn't have Amp Farm 3, but that ambiguous 'Line 6 Amp Farm HD' I'll have a hunt round the Line 6 site, see if there's a plug-in called that.

Line 6 Amp Farm HD license is for Amp Farm up to version 2.4

For ProTools 8 you will need the Amp Farm 3 license and version 3.0

Got Amp Farm 3 on one of the mixing studios so it's all ok, Upgraded that to 8.1 yesterday and all is well.
