Default WAVE Driver / ASIO Driver

Is anyone using the WAVE driver / ASIO driver with Sound Forge or Adobe Audition?

I remember these drivers use to be very unstable and caused the 3rd party applications to crash.

Now, I'm thinking of purchasing the latest Mbox 2 for usage with 3rd party software, and wondered if it had improved since then.

Thank you
Tomio
