Fo qwerty keyboard users I would like to share what 6.7 feels like for french azerty keyboard users :
Just imagine, you go fetch your car at the repairshop, and surprise surprise they have inverted the brakes, the cigarette lighter, the windshield wiper, the accelerator pedal etc

- Need to stop in a hurry ? no problem turn on cigarette lighter while pressing on the accelerator pedal
- A little rain ? cigarette lighter is the answer
etc.etc.
Sounds like fun doesn't it ?

Ok, so I know a fix is on the way, but I hope it will come soon...

We are aware of this, and yes, we *do* care about the customers affected by this - this one is taking longer to fix, because it's a fairly invasive fix - we have to make sure fixing it doesn't break something else.

After that, you should have a new guideline for keyboard programming... In many softwares I saw that, someone wrote in some lines of code a new way to check what key was pressed. The new Digidesign way is to look at the physical place instead of the letter.

You are not the first company to make that mistake, Apple France still make it when it come to the french canadian version of their soft. So I can only ask: fix it, and make sure it doesn't happen again (and don't forget to tell it to Avid).

Right on Frenchman, that's pretty much how it feels.
You could also compare this to a situation where we would deliver masters to a client and saying "Here's your stuff. Everything's fine except for one or two tiny problems we had upon encoding. You'll have to press Eject in order to play the tape, press Stop if you want to rewind it, and, oh yes, don't press the Pause button, you'd loose part of the datas ... Other than that, everything's fine. Just fine...".

Please MrDigi, can we at least know if a fix is on its way??... I mean for real... Not that much to ask...

You are probably confusing the US date format 12/04/04 as being the European date format of April 4, 2004 instead of what it actually is, December 4, 2004.

We are working on this, as Danny said, but as he also said, it will take some time to implement and test.
