can i run Artist Mc mix/transport and iPad

I just recently sold my beloved Procontrol. I intend to purchase 2 Artist MC Mix, MC transport and have a couple questions:

1- It seems like quite a few people are having issues with PT 11 and Eucon. Anyone actually manage to get 2 x mix and an transport working smoothly with PT 11 HD ?? (i'm on PT HDN 11.0.1, OS 10.8.4, HD IO 16x16, latest iMac 27'' with 32 GB ram and Peragus R4 raid)

2- Can i use an iPaD with the Neyrinck V-control along with the Artist Mc mix and transport ??

1. - YES! Works great and I know some users have issues with "eucon 3" but we seem to be lucky so far

2. - YES! We use both on PT10HD and 11HD as Neyrinck doesn't affect the eucon protocol and uses HUI control.

I believe the old surfaces are better, because EUCON is missing plugin focus feature. I would stick with the old one for as long as possible. I made that mistake and although there are some good things about EUCON, missing plugin focus is a huge drawback.

are you talking about the quality built of the old vs new MC series or the bug of Eucon 3 software ???

Sorry for not being clear. I was relating to ProControl, Command8, C24 and ICON as old surfaces.

Definitely agree, Procontrol is SOOOO much better than the Artist series. Just got my hands on a Mix and transport set up....it works fine, i don't have any of the connectivity problems some people were experiencing with Eucon 3, but i DO miss my Procontrol.

Thought I would chime in here.
I'm using 1 ver2 Euphonix MC Mix (SilverFace that was converted to Avid BlackFace by Avid. i.e ver.2's had better/smoother endoders), 1 ver.2 Euphonix MC Mix(SilverFace that was converted to Avid BlackFace by me) and 1 Avid Artist Mix that I purchased new. I also have an Artist Control and the original Euphonix MC Transport. All are working fine. I have them connected via an Ethernet switch that is connected to port 1 on my Mac Pro Quad 2.66ghz with Pro Tools HD 10.3.5 and OSX 10.6.8, and Eucon 2.7.1. I also use the latest version of Neyrink's Ney-Fi, with iPad2 without any issues.

The first SilverFace units had some injection molding problems that caused some of the faceplates to crack easily. I also upgraded the fader caps to a wider one that's the same style that's on the ProControl. They made the faders on the Avid and Euphonix pieces feel "more pro like."
