Default How do I delete missing fade files?!!

I keep having to 'Skip All Fades' before a particular session - I can't find (and don't need) these fades so how can I stop ProTools asking for them?

Would be nice if they showed as 'Offline' ....

any suggestions gratefully received,

neil.

Normally after you skip the fades and re-save the session you wont get asked again.
Delete the unused regions and consolidate the tracks, prob fixed.

Hmmm..
Generally as you delete the fade files, upon opening a session again ptools will remake them and all goes ok, if not I am honestly not sure.
May want to leave this post a little longer as I am sure its not uncommon and someone will solve this.
Good luck,
AJ

You have to "save session copy in..." for the fade files folder to be up to date. I tried it, and it works. It’s true that they’re rebuild if you hit "skip", but its annoying when it happens every time with a session.

There is a bug - if you select skip all then PT will rebuild all fades in displayed playlists -- apparently it will not rebuild the fades in hidden (non visible) playlists. Digi's aware of the bug and I would expect a fix in a future release.

A work-around is to use "Save Session Copy In..." and recreate a copy of the session and it's audio and fade files in another folder.
