Default Pro Tools 9 Won't Start

I've had Pro Tools 9 installed on my computer for a few months now and all of a sudden, it will not start up. When I click to open I get the hourglass for a few seconds then nothing... I've uninstalled, reinstalled, .. tried everything.

If ya did a back up id just restore to that. I had a prob like this and never made a back up (doh) and i had to reinstall everything which was a pain so from now on i always keep a system image (acronis) which i can restore back to save alot of time and agro.

Hope this helps a bit

just saw that it says on the faq that there is an issue with IE8 causing PT not to start. I have not had any problems so far, but so you know...

Running games and other non-music software on a Pro Tools DAW is sometimes a nightmare. Your Idea of a separate drive for PT may the way to go.

That would be my recommendation as well. Something like this
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...2354&CatId=285
would be handy for system drives. I actually use this and a triple version for all my hard drives in my PT machine.
