Default Glyph external hardrive not being recognized in my computer,what to do?

my firewire Glyph external hardrive not being recognized in my computer, and wont let me access it ..

this is my new computer with the specs

and this is my external hardrive ,

i just got this computer and hardrive yesterday so there are no audio files or anything on the computer yet , just pro tools 7.4 with some plugins..

Did you go into administrative options/disk management and format it NTFS yet?

yes and it is not showing up in diskmanagement to format ..
but it does show up in Device manager -Disk drives , i was told to uninstall the driver and re isntall and reboot my computer but still nothing ..

Have you tried to rescan in disk management? That has worked for me.

yes, i have tried to rescan , but its still not showing up in my computer ..
