Default MACbook Pro and ProTools 7.4

My work is getting me an additional mixdown station and they are asking if a MACbook Pro (17inch, 2.5GHz) will work. From what I have read I believe it will but I was wondering if there are any known issues with running PT7.4 on a Mb? Would definitely be getting an additional display, keyboard and mouse.

Thank you...

You might try looking up the computer in the "approved" and it will save you a lot of hassles. You mighconsider something a "Little" bit more established on the new OS. Maybe even a used G5 or G4. I have a g4 800 mhz in the still works but I now am using an OLD G5 2 ghz, wish 4 mb of RAM and it flies.

I presume you are planning on running LE on that MBP. What interface? I have a MBP and use the m-box micro. Works ok for editing. Mixing is another story, as TDM plugs need to be converted to RTAS. Not to mention the monitoring...
You might try posting this in the LE forum, and you may get more response. SB
also, if you are running LE (and not TDM), there is no reason, IMO, to get a g5 or g4. You can run a lot of RTAS with the MBP.
