-re computer drumming vs. human drumming

I have heard great sounds come out of both actually. Sometimes if you combine the best of both worlds, you can get great results as well. I'll cite a band by the name of Celldweller for an example.. That dude has the perfect mix of analog and digital sampling and a friend actually played real drums for his record originally and he mixed in a bunch of sample stuff and it just takes it beyond the normal realm. ya have to hear it to experience it sorta..

Hey BM,
That would be more in the "sonic" category, than " computer drumming "..Agree?
Oh..just like in the Ducthang ??

sonics, sorta... depends on if you have a great player with a great sounding kit for starters, then a great programmer, then come the sonics with the awesome mix job..

Got that right Mr. Bird Man..
RTFM yo !!
All jokes aside, on the Ducthang it was my realtime playing reinforced with "samples" off Drumagog just to pull the sonic focus and energy/pitch distribution in place..
Off now for chopping..
see you guys later..

ahh.. and here I thought it was Hoodie attempting to do some beat boxing on DUCthang.. but it was one of those plugins for rap yo.. man, that reminds me though.. I saw this show with some kid that actually did beat boxing (art of making beats with ones hands and mouth in different tones and rhythms) pretty damn well. Just goes to show that I guess one doesn't need a bunch of fancy instruments for the creative thing yo...

No surprise there !
OK, and now for something entirely different;
As we speak, I'm in the midst of mastering a country/blues album
I'll let you in on a little secret here for writing such songs ..one must use the following phrases in order to "cut it" :
-"walk through the door"
-"what am I gonna do ?"
-your kiss tastes like..>feel in here<, although "honey&wine" are strong candidates..

later fools,
bobby
