Easiest way is MIDI From the MPC into the laptop and audio from the laptop into your 002R. If you can go out digitally from the laptop, that would rock. If you want you can connect a midi out of the laptop interface into the midi in of the 002R.

danielbb, I'm just curious, why aren't you just using reason on the desktop rewired into protools? It's much easier. Are you using an older version of Pro tools? Are there cpu power issues on the desktop?

you see, i bought the laptop used with reason already on it, i just didnt get the discs. it would be much easier to simply rewire it, but im not going to go out and buy reason if i can do it this way.
