Default M-Audio Drivers missing Older Features

I have a few M-Audio Cards/Interfaces and I can remember the older drivers for the Audio Cards/Interfaces used to have an adjustable gain from -10 to +4 for the inputs and outputs

The newer drivers lack this feature!!!!

One of the Cards a 1010lt has two Mic Inputs that used to have it's own Preamp gain with the older drivers now it's treated as a balanced input??

Why have these options been removed???

Am I missing something???

Thanks

add: yes the older drivers had much more functionality/features (and allow for better sound as well imo).

Try and find a way to force the install of the older driver (should still work in theory, but I still choose to use WinXP 32bit so I've yet to try win 7 with my delta 1010s).
right now I still favor vers 5.10.00.0051, panel vers: 1.03.26 - 2.6.00

Have chained 3 (non LT) delta 1010's at one time, worked like a champ.

Maudio buyout might be the cause of the driver changes!

Driver 5.10.00.5057v3 / panel version 1.03.27 - 10.19.198 works well for me with multiple Delta 1010s (in XP emulation mode).

I'm told it doesn't work on W7 64bit but I haven't tried it yet.....

What interface is the wordclock not working on. I have a 1010LT and have never been able to get it to clock externally through wordclock. I have seen a lot of threads on lot's of forums that say the wordclock on the 1010lt doesn't work.

I got my 1010lt working by installing the driver that's listed for XP sp3 [5069] But installed it on a sp2 machine it Locked up finally

I got that hint from here

http://forums.m-audio.com/showthread...0lt+word+clock

I just noticed on a cheap Firewire audiophile Box there is No input calibration at all let alone output!!!!

Why are these options threatening to the developers???
