BWF Question RE: TimeCode Metadata
OK
So I know BWFs keep timecode data in one of the chunks (i think the bext chunk?), so I should be able to export BWFs to another person, and when they import the file click SPOT (or wtvr the equivalent is in, say, cubase) and send it right to the same place on the timeline, right? |

Re: BWF Question RE: TimeCode Metadata
In theory, yes. My experience has been that Pro Tools reads its own timestamps pretty well, but other apps don't. Keep in mind that there has to be a conversion from timecode location to sample location, which adds a layer of complexity when you factor in where the sample timeline starts. Make sense?
