HUI not recognized

Hi,

My HUI is not being recognized. Everytime I try and assign the HUI in the peripherals menu, I get this dialog box:

"The original MIDI device associated with the MIDI controller "HUI" could not be found. Please choose an existing MIDI device in the MIDI controller section of the peripherals dialog."

Then the "recieve from" HUI menu goes into italics in the dialog box.

I am running a 002, with 10.2.8, and PT 6.1.1

Can someone please help?

Here's a few things:

*Verify that the HUI physical midi I/O is properly connected to the midi interface.

*Verify in the AudioMIDI setup that the midi interface is "Online".

*Verify that the HUI device is defined properly in the AudioMIDI setup (under MIDI Devices).

*Verify that the HUI device is properly connected to the appropriate MIDI interface I/O ports in the AudioMIDI setup window.

*Double click on the HUI device, and make sure that the appropriate midi channels are active (blue)
for Transmit and Receive (I just activated all 16 for both).

I had the same message with a HUI under PT6 and the last one took care of the problem for me.
