PT Session Emergency ! Help , Please !

Can anyone please advise... I'm mid session , just recorded a long solo piano take , computer is frozen with spinning beachball, I can't stop record , can't hit save etc. I'm afraid I'll lose the recording if I do a force quit . Any advice ?? This freezing has happened a couple times today while I was editing and left computer for a break . Using PT HD 9 with no problems but just recently installed Update " 905 Updater 72733 " which was offered as a " critical update " in a pop-up when I opened PT . Thanks in advance for any help. Don't know if the session is still recording .... will it go until the hard drive is full ? Ayyy !

If your system is working, put off critical updates until you have a good copy of the drive and time to muck with the upgrade.

As for your dilemma, it sounds like rock and a hard place.. Switch the power off if it's frozen, there's really nothing else you can do, (that I'm aware of), restart and open the session. It's likely that the piano take will not be there, but it may very well be in your audio files folder.. (even though it is not showing up in the region list). If it's there, drag it into the session and see how it plays back.

If it's not there.. it never existed. Tough luck on that..
