dude, continue with your plan, sequence with your fav midi sequencer, get a Ghost (nice EQ's), and mix analog with real outboard, record your 2 bus mix into the computer to burn on CD. The whole game mixing analog will be so much more fun ;-)

Im using my RME with an allen and heath and its great fills upthe whole 24 ch console and then some

the rme is a great product
