Converting MIDI volume data to automation data?
Is there a way to convert MIDI volume data
over to ProTools automation data? For those of you who use Logic, it would be similar to the "Move Object Control Data to Track Automation" function. I'm also aware that the ProTools manual clearly states: "You cannot interchange automation data betwen audio and MIDI tracks, or betwen continuous controls (such as faders or pans) and switched or stepped controls (such as mute or MIDI controllers). But....just in case there's workaround...! regards Paul. |

Re: Converting MIDI volume data to automation data?
don't know if this is quite what you're asking about, but here's what i do:
i record my midi tracks, once i am happy with them. then i automate them as audio tracks. saves a lot of headache for me, i'm faster with plugins and faders than i will ever be with midi CC. dss |
